A Manual Universal Grinder is required for a small company in Birmingham.

Working days and flexible with the hours/times worked throughout the day. Looking for someone who is looking for a permanent job after trial, so commitment is required. Rate of pay depends on your experience will pay up to £18ph immediate starts

For setting up, operating, and maintaining manual grinding machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role involves interpreting drawings, selecting the appropriate grinding wheels and tooling, and using precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

* Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual universal grinders,

* Drawing Interpretation:

* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine grinding requirements.

* Tooling Selection: Select and dress grinding wheels and tooling according to specifications and workpiece material.

* Precision Measurement: Use micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments to inspect finished components and ensure they meet tight tolerances.

* Quality Control: Perform in-process inspection, quality checks, and document results in accordance with company standards.

* Machine Maintenance: Maintain machine cleanliness and ensure proper operation and maintenance of grinding wheels and tools.

* Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to grinding operations, including wheel dressing and machine setup.

* Safety adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.

* Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities for process optimization.

* Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience in operating manual universal grinders.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

* Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment.

* Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and dressing.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.

* Good communication and teamwork skills
