Document Controller - Main Contractor - South East/Central London
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + package
A well-established main contractor is seeking a Document Controller with experience of utilising the EDMS Procore to keep accurate site records for a brand-new project. Ideally the individual will have experience on build side projects at main contractors and display longevity in previous positions.
Role Overview

- Start: ASAP but willing to wait for notice periods

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain project documentation: Receive, log, categorize, and store drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and reports using a document management system (DMS). Ensure all documents are correctly versioned, formatted, and accessible to the project team.
- Control document distribution and revisions: Track revisions of technical drawings and documents, issue updated versions to contractors, consultants, and site teams, and ensure obsolete documents are removed from circulation to prevent errors on site.
- Ensure compliance and reporting: Monitor document workflows to ensure they meet project deadlines and regulatory requirements, maintain audit trails, generate document status reports, and support quality assurance processes by keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
- Previous /recent experience using Procore
- Previous positions working for a main contractor
- Longevity of previous positions and a desire to go the distance in a new position
