The Acquisitions Officer will play a key role in sourcing and delivering new housing opportunities. You’ll manage property acquisitions from initial identification through to completion, ensuring projects are viable, value for money, and compliant with our standards and funding requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and appraise potential property acquisitions for social housing, including existing stock, new builds, and off-the-shelf purchases.
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, estate agents, local authorities, and housing partners.
Prepare detailed financial appraisals and business cases for acquisition proposals.
Negotiate purchase terms and oversee due diligence processes.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure homes meet housing standards, compliance, and sustainability goals.
Monitor market trends and contribute to strategic plans for portfolio growth.About You
We’re looking for someone with a passion for housing and community development, who combines commercial awareness with social purpose.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in property acquisition, development, or housing regeneration (preferably within the social housing sector).
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent financial and analytical abilities with experience of preparing investment appraisals.
Knowledge of housing policy, planning frameworks, and funding models.
