I’m working with a friendly independent accountancy practice in Dudley looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of regular clients. This is a growth hire, not a replacement.

The role

You’ll look after bookkeeping for owner-managed businesses, including:

• Bank reconciliations & ledger reviews
• VAT returns
• Purchase & sales processing
• Journals & adjustments
• CIS knowledge
• Client queries and HMRC contact

You’ll use Xero, Sage and QuickBooks, with bank feeds and Dext already in place.

What they’re looking for

• UK accountancy practice bookkeeping experience (essential)
• Confident speaking with clients
• Knowledge of VAT processes
• Comfortable managing your own workload

This is not an admin/data-entry role — you’ll be a key contact for your clients and part of the accounting team.
