The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit a professional person who is looking to work within a sales environment to provide excellent customer service, sales and tender duties from their site in Southampton, Hampshire. You will be required to provide all round sales and tender duties to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for finding and coordinating the process of preparing, submitting and overseeing tender bids. Ensuring proposals are submitted in a timely manner meeting deadlines, keeping details records of all tender submissions including status updates, prices and feedback

* Capturing all new business opportunities by reviewing and analysing tender documents online

* Providing excellent communication skills acting as a liaison between internal departments preparing competitive pricing, technical documents, logistical processes and product certifications

* As part of the internal Sales Team, build a sales relationship with the customers across all sectors to ensure a central point of contact with these customers

* Using a central computer system to process daily sales orders and quotations within a timely manner, ensuring quotations are followed up to maximise conversion rate and remain competitive

* To gain an understanding of the Service and Hire Department to provide support where necessary

* Processing customer warranties

* Answer price enquiries, general enquiries and resolve complaints where necessary alongside day-to-day admin duties

* Develop an in-depth knowledge of products and market segments to help meet customer needs, make recommendations and enhance customer satisfaction

* Offering sales, technical support and high-level customer service to an international customer and service station base via phone, email or face to face

* Outbound sales phone calls to low spend customers to stimulate sales activity and discuss new products

* Admin tasks to support the Operations, Service, and Finance department

* Providing reception cover where applicable, acting as the first point of call for walk-in customers

Key Skills:

* The successful candidate must fit into a small, diverse, but busy team and must be able to meet deadlines

* Experience of dealing and/or overseeing tender documents and bid proposals (desired)

* The role demands a customer focused approach with an emphasis on delivering a high-quality customer service, working in a fast-paced environment where ‘on time’ product delivery to commercial and leisure customers is vital

* Experience of working in a busy sales environment, dealing with leisure and commercial customers

* The successful candidate must fit into a small, diverse, but busy team and must be able to meet deadlines and target

* The role requires a high level of flexibility and to remain open minded to changes within the role

Benefits:

* Salary on offer is £32,000 per year

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays (3 days of this is taken out automatically each year to cover the shut down period over Christmas)

Hours:

* Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00

* Friday 08:30 - 16:00
