An established construction company is seeking a commercially driven and operationally strong Managing Director to take full responsibility for running the business.

The company delivers a high volume of refurbishment projects across both commercial and residential sectors, with a strong reputation and significant growth potential.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can drive performance, identify opportunities, and resolve issues quickly and effectively. You will be responsible for the overall direction, profitability, and performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 70 staff

Oversee all operational and commercial activities

*

Drive project delivery and “push” jobs to successful completion

*

Identify business challenges and implement effective solutions

*

Develop and execute business growth strategies

*

Strengthen client relationships and win new work

*

Improve systems, processes, and overall company performance

*

Ensure financial control and profitability

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience running a construction business or operating at Director level

*

Strong background in refurbishment projects (commercial & residential)

*

Demonstrated success in business development

*

Excellent leadership and people management skills

*

Highly commercial, decisive, and solution-oriented

*

Comfortable taking full accountability for business performance
