Primavera P6 Planners – Water & Civil Engineering | Derby (Hybrid, 3 Days On-Site)
Ceto Talent is seeking two highly skilled Project Planners to join the Project Controls function of a leading contractor within the UK water and civil engineering sector. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced P6 professionals to play a critical role in planning and delivering complex MEICA, non-infrastructure, and asset improvement projects across the region.
The Opportunity
As a P6 Planner, you will take ownership of developing, maintaining, and managing detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring robust planning, accurate progress tracking, and effective resource coordination across a diverse portfolio of projects. Your expertise will directly support senior delivery teams, enabling clear decision-making and successful project outcomes.
This role requires office/site attendance at least three days per week and the successful candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence.

We are seeking planners who bring strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the confidence to work closely with engineers, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

Advanced Primavera P6 expertise with a strong command of CPM scheduling

Solid experience working within an NEC environment
*
Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls principles
*
A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to anticipate risks and resolve scheduling challenges
*
Excellent communication skills with the capability to present complex data clearly
*
Proven success collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners
*
Analytical thinking and sound judgement in fast-paced project environments
