Highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Electrical Circuit Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. You will have a strong background in circuit logic design, load balancing and fusing strategies, along with hands-on experience in harness manufacture, modification, and repair. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle systems and the ability to solve complex circuit diagnostic problems.
Vehicle Electrical Circuit Engineer Role:
Circuit Logic Design: Develop and optimise circuit logic for various applications.
Load Balancing: Ensure efficient load distribution across electrical systems.
Fusing Strategy: Design and implement effective fusing strategies to protect circuits.
Over Current Protection: Develop and test over current protection mechanisms.
Wire Size Analysis: Analyse and select appropriate wire sizes for different applications.
CAN Bus Design: Design and troubleshoot physical CAN bus systems.
2D Harness Drawing Creation: Create detailed 2D harness drawings.
Hands-On Harness Work: Manufacture, modify, and repair harnesses in both workshop and machine environments.
Voltage Drop Analysis: Perform voltage drop analysis to ensure system efficiency.
Component Selection and Development: Select, develop, and create drawings for components like pressure sensors, angle sensors, position sensors, displays, lights, wipers, and ECUs.
Circuit Diagnostic Problem Solving: Address issues such as CAN network problems, short circuits, open circuits, back feeds, grounding issues, and component failures.
Use of Diagnostic Tools: Utilize DVM, oscilloscopes, current clamps, Circuit 8D Problem
Vehicle Systems Knowledge: Demonstrate a basic understanding of vehicle systems, including powertrain, electro-hydraulic, and braking systems.
Vehicle Electrical Circuit Engineer Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in EDS engineering.
* Zuken E3 Drawing Package Experience, CAD 3D Drawing Skills, preferably with NX.
* Project Management Skills:
* Tracking and Planning: Use Microsoft Project or Excel to track and plan project activities.
* Presentation Skills: Present project status updates effectively.
* Technical Knowledge:
* Power Ratings, Diode Logic, and Relay Logic, ECU Input and Output Types, Ground Strategy, Potential Dividers and Absolute/Ratio-metric Transducers and EMC Best Practices.
