We are looking for a Workshop Clerk to join a long-established engineering business in Manchester.
Working Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30p, temp (12 months) to permanent basis. You will assist in the administration aspects and will ensure that jobs are booked in and costed, amongst other duties.
Key Accountabilities:
- Book jobs in on Computer system for the Electrical department, completing the relevant paperwork, creating job cards, taking photos.
- Log material requisitions against jobs.
- Take incoming calls to the works and redirect to the correct member of staff where applicable/take messages.
- Complete and fill out daily reports.
- Actively manage the Order number log and work with the sales people to get the orders in following job delivery, emailing and calling customers where necessary.
- Provide additional support in the Office or with the Purchasing Clerk during busy periods.
- Any reasonable adhoc admin requests not listed above relating to the Works or Workshop Office.
Essential:
- Sound knowledge of IT equipment and Microsoft office software packages. In particular spreadsheets.
- Previous experience within an Admin department.
Desirable:
Experience of ERP systems.
