Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Support the development and implementation of care plans for children and young people.
Supervise and mentor staff, promoting a positive and professional working environment.
Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance.
Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation in line with legal requirements.
Engage with external stakeholders, including families and local authorities.
Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.
Promote a culture of safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People or equivalent.
Experience in a supervisory role within children services.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in residential children services.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and foster positive relationships.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Knowledge of OFSTED guidelines and legislation
Be flexible to work Mon - Fri and on shift where required.
