Music Teacher – Preparatory School near Cheltenham – September 2025

A well-established preparatory school just outside Cheltenham is looking to appoint a full-time Music Teacher for September 2025. The school values a vibrant and engaging music culture and seeks a teacher with both classroom teaching ability and performance leadership skills.

The school runs numerous choirs, instrumental groups, and whole-school musical productions. You will deliver general music lessons as well as direct rehearsals and prepare students for concerts and external performances.

Role Includes:

Teaching Music to Years 3–8, preparing students for Common Entrance and scholarship exams

*

Leading singing assemblies and directing instrumental ensembles

*

Organising termly concerts, recitals, and musical showcases

*

Working closely with peripatetic teachers and the Director of Music

Requirements:

*

Music degree with teaching qualification (QTS or prep school experience)

*

Experience in conducting or ensemble leadership

*

Piano proficiency and/or music theory support is highly desirable

*

A passion for early musical development and inclusive performance
