Part-Time Purchasing Assistant
Location: West Hull
Salary: £14000 for 20 hours per week
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is confident in managing administrative processes with precision.
You will play a key role in supporting the purchasing and sales operations, ensuring the smooth handling of customer quotes, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems
Assist in resolving administrative queries and issues
Create and maintain project files from sales orders using Sage 50
Prepare purchase orders as directed by the line manager
Verify delivery notes against purchase orders for accuracy
Follow up on purchase order dispatch dates
Ensure timely booking of issue sheets on Sage
Provide clerical support to the Accounts Office and line manager
Carry out other relevant administrative duties as required
What We're Looking For
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Proficiency in MS Office and Sage 50
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Literate, numerate, and able to work accurately under pressure
