A well-established UK civil engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer on a contract basis to support a growing workload of residential development projects.

This role suits an experienced roads and drainage engineer who can operate with a high degree of autonomy while working collaboratively within a design-led consultancy environment.

The role

Lead the highways and drainage design for residential developments

Deliver work from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction support

Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations and reports

Manage and coordinate S38, S278, S104 and S106 approvals

Liaise directly with local authorities, water companies and project stakeholders

Provide technical input and oversight to junior engineers and technicians

About you

Strong background as a Senior Civil Engineer within a consultancy environment

Proven experience delivering residential infrastructure schemes

Excellent working knowledge of roads and drainage design

Confident managing technical approvals and external stakeholders

Able to work on a hybrid basis, combining office and remote working
