As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff, SEND professionals, and senior leaders, gradually taking on more responsibilities to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Teaching Assistant:

Support students in literacy and numeracy across KS3 and KS4
Provide 1:1 and small-group academic interventions to boost student confidence and progress
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resource development, and classroom management
Support learners with Special Educational Needs (SEND) using inclusive strategies
Develop your own teaching practice in a supportive and structured school setting
Take on increasing teaching responsibilities as your experience grows

What we're looking for in a Graduate Teaching Assistant:

A 2:1 degree or higher in any subject (all graduates considered)
A strong desire to work in education and train as a teacher
A proactive, resilient attitude and strong communication skills
Some experience working with young people (paid or voluntary) is beneficial but not essential
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
An understanding of safeguarding, or willingness to undertake training
