Mechanical Fitter – North West

£55,000 – £60,000 | Company Van | Flexible Hours

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a market-leading, well-established engineering company based in the North West. This is a long-term, stable opportunity with a business that invests heavily in its people, equipment, and future growth.

The Role

Mechanical fitting and maintenance across multiple sites in the North West
Sites are located close together, minimising travel
Home-based role with travel directly to site
45-hour working week (40 hours on site, 5 hours travel)
Strong mechanical bias with some electrical and welding work
Mechanical Responsibilities

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
Reactive maintenance and breakdowns
Mechanical fault finding and repairs
Strip downs and rebuilds of machinery and plant
Mechanical installations and removals
Welding duties including MIG, TIG, and Stick
Supporting basic electrical work where required
Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
Strong mechanical background with basic electrical knowledge
Welding experience (MIG / TIG / Stick)
Experience with PPMs and reactive maintenance
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable covering multiple local sites
Package & Benefits

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
25 days holiday + bank holidays
