Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Berkshire Region (with travel to Central London, Bournemouth, Newbury & Reading)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer to join a supportive and growing engineering team operating across the South of England. This hands-on role will involve working on a variety of commercial sites, including office buildings, energy facilities, and smaller local businesses.

You’ll gain valuable experience across a range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems while working both independently and alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintenance, and repair of VRF, multi- and single-split systems, ventilation systems, AHUs/MVHRs, and chillers.

*

Attend to reactive maintenance and general building services tasks.

*

Support with maintenance of domestic services, including electric water heaters, waste pumps, and TMVs.

*

Manage daily travel between client sites (travel time included in working hours).

*

Liaise with clients and supervisors to ensure high-quality service delivery.

*

Work both independently and in pairs as part of a wider subcontractor team.

About You

*

Ideally hold NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent).

*

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

*

Good knowledge of refrigeration and A/C systems, including fault finding and diagnostics.

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

Professional, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Additional Information

No current call-out rota.

*

Reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor.
