We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Coffee Shop Manager who lives for quality coffee, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows that brilliant hospitality starts on the floor - not behind a desk.
? The Opportunity
This role puts you right at the heart of the café. You’ll be front and centre during service, inspiring your team, obsessing over quality, and making sure every guest experience feels warm, effortless, and memorable.
You’ll balance people leadership, commercial performance, and operational excellence - all while building a café culture your team is proud to be part of.
? What You’ll Be Doing
Your days will be varied, busy, and never boring. You’ll be:
☕ Leading from the front on the shop floor - delivering standout hospitality and setting the tone every shift
? Building, coaching, and motivating a great team through regular feedback, training, and 1:1s
? Championing quality across coffee, food, cleanliness, and presentation - spotting issues fast and fixing them!
? Driving sales and performance, thinking commercially while keeping the guest experience at the heart of every decision
? Running smart, efficient rotas that support both your team and the business
? Managing stock, ordering, and waste to keep displays fresh and costs under control
? Sharing your coffee knowledge and passion - helping your team grow their skills and confidence
? Keeping standards sky-high across health & safety, food safety, and cleanliness
? Creating a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace where people feel supported and challenged
? Connecting with the local community, building relationships with regulars and welcoming new faces
You’ll work across all areas of the café - bar, floor, prep, opens, closes, and stocktakes - staying closely connected to what really matters.
? What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely bring:
✨ Experience managing or supervising a coffee shop, café, or hospitality venue
☕ A genuine love of coffee and quality (specialty coffee experience is a big plus)
? A confident, people-first leadership style
? Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
? A calm, solutions-focused approach in busy service
? A hands-on mindset - you’re happiest leading by doing
