About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a £250k refurbishment project at a school in St Albans. The project involves the upgrade and modernisation of three Food Technology laboratories, alongside plant and M&E enhancements. This is a live school environment, so exceptional planning, coordination, and communication skills are essential to ensure minimal disruption and the highest standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day site management, including coordination of subcontractors and trades.
* Ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
* Overseeing Health & Safety compliance at all stages of the refurbishment.
* Liaising with school representatives and project stakeholders to maintain clear communication.
* Conducting regular site meetings and producing progress reports.
* Managing deliveries, site logistics, and maintaining security protocols in a live school environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS Certificate (current and valid)
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
* First Aid at Work
