We’re now looking for a skilled and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our brigade and help take our food to the next level.
Job Overview
As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in leading the kitchen team. You’ll help manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes, with a focus on grilled meats and classic steakhouse fare.

Supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff during service.
*
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
*
Support stock control, ordering, and waste reduction initiatives.
*
Take ownership of sections during service and step up in the absence of the Sous Chef.
*
Help train new team members and contribute to staff development.
*
Work with the senior team to develop and trial new menu items.
Requirements
*
2+ years' experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef role.
*
Previous experience in a steakhouse or grill-focused environment is a strong advantage.
*
Strong leadership and communication skills.
*
Passion for quality food, especially meat and grill cooking techniques.
*
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
*
Up-to-date Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certifications.
