Shape a New Virtual Learning Future
We are seeking an ambitious, resilient, and highly skilled Secondary Qualified Teacher (QTS) to establish and lead an exciting new Virtual Learning Provision for students with SEMH and complex SEND needs. This is a unique, leadership-focused teaching role based initially in Accrington, with a remit to reach and re-engage vulnerable learners who are unable to access mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and Establish: Set up and launch the entire virtual provision, including curriculum design, policy development, and digital safeguarding protocols.
Virtual Teaching: Plan and deliver highly differentiated, engaging, and flexible virtual lessons to secondary-aged students across all core subjects (drawing on your QTS subject specialism and versatility).
SEND/SEMH Expertise: Implement expert, restorative, and trauma-informed strategies to manage behaviour, support emotional regulation, and promote positive engagement in an online setting.
Casework: Work closely with students, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are met and transition goals are achieved.
What You'll Bring (Essential Criteria)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Proven experience teaching at a Secondary level (Key Stage 3 & 4) in any subject specialism.
Substantial, demonstrable experience working successfully with students with SEMH and/or complex SEND needs (e.g., in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or specialist setting).
Exceptional digital literacy and confidence in utilising virtual learning platforms and technology to deliver creative, interactive, and inclusive lessons.
A resilient, compassionate, and solution-focused approach, with the ability to lead a new initiative from the ground up.
