Thrive Oldham are recruiting on behalf of our well established client an Estimator in the Merthyr area.

Estimator

Job Role:

This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, strong analytic skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. The Graduate Estimator will play a critical role in helping to securing new business by providing detailed and competitive quotations while seeing the projects through from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring that all key information at enquiry stage is obtained to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
You will be able to confidently discuss information of a technical nature with customers.
You will be looking at building designs and ensuring they are compliant with current regulations and industry best practice.
Support customers and colleagues to assist with resolution of technical enquiries.
Provide excellent customer service.
Provide technical support to the external sales teams and facilitate project progression by attending project meetings on site or via Teams.Skills & Qualifications

Good commercial awareness and an understanding of engineering principles.
Experience of estimating within a manufacturing environment is essential.
Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Good numerical skills
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
A mechanical/ electrical engineering qualification e.g., HNC /HND or equivalent.Salary competitive
