Engineering Manager

ReeVR Talent are proud to be partnered with Gulmay Ltd – a global leader in high-voltage power supply systems – in the search for a driven and technically strong Engineering Manager to lead their UK engineering team.

The Role
As Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving Gulmay’s R&D and product development functions, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to align engineering output with commercial goals.

You’ll manage a talented multi-disciplinary team covering electronics, embedded firmware and mechanical design, ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-quality products that meet the needs of the high-voltage industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager: 

Lead, motivate and develop a diverse UK engineering team across R&D and sustaining functions.

Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and scope.

Review and approve product designs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Collaborate with internal teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction across engineering functions.

Provide guidance, mentorship and direction to team members, supporting their professional development.

Work with supply chain and external partners to support manufacturing and supplier relationships.

Key experience of the Engineering Manager: 

Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional engineering teams.

Degree-qualified in a technical discipline (Electronics, Mechanical, or similar).

Strong understanding of product development processes – from concept to production.

Previous experience in high-voltage design or X-ray systems is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Commercially aware, innovative, and capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively.
