What Will You Do as an Accounts Assistant?
As a pivotal member of the Finance Team, your responsibilities will ensure the smooth operation of daily financial tasks. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records:
* Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
* Reconciling supplier statements and proactively resolving any discrepancies.
* Performing essential bank reconciliations, and processing payments and purchase orders.
* Raising sales invoices and generating credit notes as required.
* Processing employee expenses and maintaining meticulous petty cash records.
* Liaising with retail outlets to ensure accurate financial reporting and control.
* Providing all-around Support to the Finance Team.
What Do You Need as an Accounts Assistant?
To excel in this high-impact role, you will need a strong foundation in finance and a driven approach:
* Relevant accounts experience, specifically in account reconciliations and double-entry postings.
* High attention to detail with a proven ability to input data quickly and accurately.
* The capacity to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritise workload effectively in a high-volume setting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and being AAT qualified is highly desirable.
* A clear and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, to liaise confidently across the business.
