Maintenance Engineer

South Normanton, Derbyshire

Days only role

£44,000 per annum

We have a niche opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer, to work in an expanding recycling company. Your key responsibility will be to maintain and run a shredding/ granulation machine.

* For the role you must be a qualified engineer either electrical or mechanic

* Have previous experience in recycling or plastic would be helpful but not essential manufacturing background essential.

* Be self-motived and happy to run and maintain the machinery

* The ability to prioritise your own workload is essential.

* The role is mainly mechanical work with some elements of electrical work.

* Stock management and process tracking.

* Creating and management of PPM

* Management of maintenance and breakdowns as required.

* Goods in and out including documentation management.

* Continuous Improvements of all processes.

* Working with the R&D team to ensure alignment with material supply requirements.

* Adhering to all H&S and RA guidelines including regular H&S reviews including creation of RA’s and reporting accidents / Near misses as they occur.

* Understanding and recognising potential machine issues.

* Ability to carry out routine planned maintenance.
