Job Title: Plasma Engineer 

Location: Berkshire, UK

Salary: £60,000 – £90,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are working with a leading company in the UK space sector to find a Plasma Engineer to join their team in Berkshire. This is a permanent role, working on the design and testing of plasma propulsion systems that help satellites move in space.

You’ll work closely with a team of engineers to build, test, and improve these systems—playing an important role in developing the UK’s future space technology. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and being part of exciting real-world projects, this could be a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build plasma propulsion systems

Set up and run tests in vacuum chambers

Work with data to improve performance and fix problems

Make sure systems work safely and meet high standards

Collaborate with other engineers to integrate systems into spacecraft

Document your work clearly and share results with the team

Suggest improvements to processes and designs

Required Skills and Experience

Degree in plasma physics, aerospace engineering, or a similar field (or relevant experience)

Hands-on experience with plasma or electric propulsion systems

Knowledge of vacuum systems and high-voltage equipment

Good problem-solving and technical skills

Able to work well in a team and communicate clearly

Comfortable working in a fast-moving, technical environment
