Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History & Politics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of history and politics.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in History and Politics.

* Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards and engages students.

* Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Assessment and Evaluation:

* Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and projects.

* Provide constructive feedback to support students' academic growth.

* Prepare students for external examinations.

*

Classroom Management:

* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

* Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.

* Encourage critical thinking and discussion among students.

*

Communication and Collaboration:

* Communicate regularly with parents/carers about students' progress.

* Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support students' overall development.

* Engage in school events and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

*

Education & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in History, Politics, or a related field.

* Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (desirable).

*

Experience & Knowledge:

* Previous teaching experience in History and/or Politics.

* Strong knowledge of the subject matter and current educational practices.

*

Skills & Attributes:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to inspire and motivate students.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
