Job Title: Interim Finance Manager
Location: Reading
Contract: Temporary - ASAP start until end of October
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM (flexible start / finish times available)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of October. This is a key role supporting the school's leadership team, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities

Lead on month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review the profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
Manage and reconcile accruals and deferred revenue.
Provide clear financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and relevant regulations.
Support the wider finance team and provide guidance as needed.Person Specification

Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally within education sector
Strong knowledge of month end, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
Hands-on experience managing accruals and deferred revenue.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and organisational skills
