The Team & Focus of the Role

Our Infrastructure Services team continue to go from strength to strength and as such, we have an exciting opportunity for a Landowner Liaison Officer to come and join our team, working across various utilities projects.

At Fisher German our customers and clients are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a proactive individual to support the duties in our pipeline network who can confidently work independently within a team. We’re looking for someone to raise awareness of the pipelines and increase knowledge of the procedures for safe working in close proximity to high pressure pipelines.

This is a permanent, full-time position (Mon-Fri), with our Ashby office being the base of operations and regular travel being required.

Duties will include:

* Systematically visiting farmers and other occupiers of land on the pipeline routes to discuss Pipeline Safety Awareness, and ensure they have the relevant information required.

* Contact and/or visit landlords and Emergency Services on the pipeline routes, and their agents.

* Contact and/or visit agricultural contractors and plant hire companies in the pipeline’s vicinity.

* Contact and/or visit Agricultural Colleges in the general pipeline areas.

* Update and add details to the contact information on the PRS.

* Write circular letters at least twice a year.

* Develop new ways to promote Pipeline Safety and Awareness for Landowners, Occupiers and Contractors.

Reactively:

* Investigate the causes of Unplanned Encroachments and Near Misses caused by people in the target area, by visiting those responsible and completing client reports.

Co-operatively:

* Liaise with Linewatch Administration.

* Assist with the promotion of the pipeline safety and awareness at shows, seminars and presentations.

* Promote the use of LSBUD.

The successful candidate will have...

* Agricultural knowledge is preferrable but not essential.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Experience within Pipeline Management (desirable).

* Previous experience within a similar function (desirable).

* Confidence to work self-sufficiently.
