Job Title: General Builder & Labourer (2-Person Gang)
Location: Birmingham & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £220–£250 per day (per person)
Positions Available: 3 x 2-person gangs (Builder + Labourer)

Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced and reliable General Builders and Labourers to form 2-person gangs for ongoing work across Birmingham and nearby areas. The work involves a wide range of general building tasks, with a strong focus on extensions. Roofing is not part of this scope.

You’ll need solid experience in all aspects of domestic building work—especially groundwork, footings, drainage, brick/blockwork, internal structural changes, and finishing touches up to roof level. Labourers must be hands-on, proactive, and capable of supporting the builder efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities:

General Builder:

* Set out and dig footings to spec

* Pour concrete and install drainage

* Build cavity walls, extensions, and boundary walls

* Lintels, steels, internal knock-throughs, insulation

* Coordinate with other trades when needed

* Maintain site safety and cleanliness

* Work efficiently with a dedicated labourer

(Labourer: Rate £140 per day)

* Assist builder with mixing, lifting, loading, and moving materials

* Keep site tidy and manage waste

* Help with preparation and cleanup of footings, concrete, and brickwork

* Carry tools, erect basic supports and assist with measurements

* Be proactive and ready to learn or take instruction

Requirements:

* Proven experience in domestic extensions/general building (builder role)

* CSCS card preferred but not essential

* Own tools and transport essential

* UTR number (CIS paid)

* Reliable, punctual, and hard-working

* Able to work independently in a 2-man gang
