We are looking for compassionate, reliable and committed Residential Support Workers to join our growing team on a permanent basis, supporting vulnerable children and young people aged 6–17 within residential settings.

The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people. You will help create a safe, structured, nurturing and positive home environment where young people can feel secure, valued and supported to reach their full potential.
You will be supporting young people who may present with challenging behaviours and who may have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD and Global Developmental Disorder.
This role requires resilience, emotional intelligence, consistency and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting daily routines, including meal preparation, household tasks and education support
*
Creating and maintaining a safe, structured and nurturing home environment
*
Managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
*
Building positive, trusting and therapeutic relationships
*
Setting clear boundaries and maintaining consistent routines
*
Promoting emotional, mental and physical wellbeing through meaningful activities
*
Working collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals and families
*
Safeguarding children and ensuring their safety and welfare at all times
*
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning
Essential Requirements
*
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
*
Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
*
Experience in one or more of the following:

Residential childcare
*
Family assessment work
*
Youth work
*
SEN support
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Calm, resilient and patient approach
*
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people
