Role & Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

* Interpreting financial data and performance trends to support planning, decisions, and future investment

* Leading the production of monthly reports, management accounts, and insights for board-level visibility

* Bringing consistency and accuracy to budgeting and forecasting across business units

* Building and refining financial models to guide scenario analysis and business strategy

* Championing cost control through clear reporting, regular reviews, and actionable insight

* Shaping team capability, culture, and performance — creating an environment where people thrive

About You as the Financial Controller:

* To excel in this role, you’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial thinking, and leadership capability, ideally from a manufacturing environment.

* Be fully qualified.

* Someone who thrives on improving processes, not just maintaining them

* A natural team leader — experienced in developing talent and building a strong internal culture

* A confident communicator, able to engage and challenge senior non-finance stakeholders

* A skilled Excel user (pivots, lookups, formulas — the essentials)

* Someone who takes ownership of their own growth and progression
