Social Emotional Mental Health Support Assistants Needed in Rochdale!

Looking for a new challenge this September? Tradewind Recruitment is hiring Teaching Assistants to support Rochdale's Pupil Referral Service. These full-time roles (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm) are temporary with strong potential to become permanent.

The Role:

Support students aged 11-18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Help deliver personalised learning and manage behaviour
Foster emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and social development
Liaise with families and professionals to ensure student successWhat We're Looking For:

TA qualifications welcome but not essential
Minimum 3 months' recent experience with young people (school, youth work, clubs, etc.)
Calm, empathetic, and confident in managing behaviour
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for supporting vulnerable learnersWe welcome applicants from youth work, sports coaching, care, counselling, and community backgrounds.
