My client is a small, dynamic precision engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of high-tolerance components for a range of industries including aerospace, automotive and bespoke machinery. They’re looking for a motivated Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their close-knit team. Role Overview:

* You will be involved in the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical components and assemblies. Working closely with experienced engineers and production staff, you’ll be responsible for translating customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions using 3D CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create detailed 3D concept models drawings using SolidWorks.

* Work on new product development as well as improvement of existing designs

* Liaise with the team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to manufacture

* Collaborate with clients and suppliers to refine design specifications

* Timely creation of detailed drawings for manufacturing

What they are Looking For:

* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (BEng or MEng) or a relevant qualification or technical apprenticeship that provides a solid foundation in the principles of mechanical or design engineering

* CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)

* Excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset

* Good, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* A willingness to learn and get involved in a hands-on engineering environment
