We are currently working with a specialist smoke ventilation company who are looking for a Field Service Smoke Ventilation Engineer to join their expanding team. In this role, you will travel to different sites across the UK to install, service, and maintain smoke ventilation systems - ensuring buildings stay safe and compliant.
Job details:
* Install, service, and repair Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in AOV systems, ensuring they meet operational and customer standards.
* Provide expert technical guidance and advice to customers on the correct use and maintenance of AOV systems.
* Accurately complete all required documentation and reports within established timelines.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Inspect, maintain, and diagnose mechanical and electrical components, performing remedial work as needed.
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical circuits within control panels.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role within Smoke Ventilation - Essential
* Experience with Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) systems - Highly desirable
* 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Skilled in fault finding on electrical control panels, including single-phase and three-phase systems, contactors, relays, inverters, timer relays, and phase failure relays.
* Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues without wiring diagrams.
* Comfortable working at heights.
* Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
* Availability for occasional overnight stays as required (all expenses covered).
