Are you a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant looking for a long-term role within a thriving secondary school?
A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the London Borough of Southwark is seeking an enthusiastic LSA to join their team on a long-term basis until July 2027.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning, and enabling them to achieve their full potential.
? Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students across KS3 and KS4.
*
Support students with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural needs, or learning difficulties.
*
Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored learning support in and out of the classroom.
*
Help implement EHCP strategies and behaviour support plans.
*
Assist students with classwork, revision, organisation, and emotional wellbeing.
*
Encourage positive engagement, confidence building, and independent learning.
*
Contribute to maintaining a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
? Requirements
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential.
*
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Youth Mentor is highly desirable.
*
Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
*
A genuine passion for education and supporting student progress.
*
Ability to commit to the full duration of the contract (until July 2027).
