About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Project Manager to lead digital transformation projects for a public sector client in Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity offering hybrid working (2 days on-site) and a chance to work on a variety of cutting-edge initiatives, including secure cloud infrastructure and data centre upgrades.
You'll join a well-established delivery team supporting transformation and change initiatives across a diverse organisation. You will manage multiple technical and business change projects, delivering outcomes that drive efficiency, cost savings, and improved services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of digital and business transformation projects from concept to completion.
Manage change across technical, process, people, and cultural dimensions.
Promote innovation and support the adoption of new technologies and practices.
Deliver projects on time and within budget, managing project scope, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and project boards to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Promote transformation objectives across the wider organisation.
About You
We’re looking for a Project Manager with experience in delivering digital and infrastructure projects within public or commercial sector environments. You will be highly organised, confident in managing multiple workstreams, and skilled in stakeholder engagement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience managing complex projects across different sectors.
Knowledge of project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2®) and ability to tailor them to business needs.
Strong understanding of Microsoft tech stack and Azure cloud services.
Skilled in stakeholder management, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to balance competing priorities and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other relevant project management tools.
Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable leading through uncertainty.
Able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
