HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
Salary: £46,000 - £52,000
Location: Market Weighton
Hours: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established independent commercial vehicle repair business in Market Weighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician who wants to work as part of a close-knit team while enjoying a great work-life balance and long-term job security.
The company has been operating for over 20 years and has built a strong reputation for high-quality work and excellent customer service. As an HGV Technician, you will carry out servicing, inspections, and repairs across a range of commercial vehicles. Approximately 50% of the role will involve completing tachograph calibrations, so experience or interest in this area would be beneficial.
Key responsibilities:
* Service, inspect, and repair HGVs to a high standard
* Complete tachograph calibrations on commercial vehicles (50% of the role)
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Maintain accurate records of work completed
* Work effectively as part of a team of experienced HGV Technicians
* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

About you:
* Proven experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
* Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and repairs
* Experience with, or willingness to learn, tachograph calibrations
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship
