Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for a Commercial Director to join a market-leading Tier 1 main contractor based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior commercial professional looking to take a strategic leadership role within a highly respected construction business.

As Commercial Director, you will lead the commercial function across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring robust commercial management and strategic oversight. You will be responsible for driving performance, developing a high-performing commercial team, and ensuring project profitability and client satisfaction across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic commercial leadership across all projects and frameworks.

Manage and mentor the commercial team, promoting best practice and professional development.

Oversee cost management, contracts, and risk across the business unit.

Work closely with the senior leadership team to drive business growth and profitability.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Director or Senior Commercial Manager within a Tier 1 main contractor.

*

Strong background in major construction or infrastructure projects.

*

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.

*

Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts.
