Warehouse Team Leader (Nights)

Our client is a leading provider of Home and Garden products to the retail sector. We are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Warehouse professional as they look to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader at their site in Leeds on a Monday to Thursday basis (1730hrs – 04000hrs).

This is a hands-on role, where you’ll lead a team of operatives, to ensure vehicles are loaded correctly, orders are picked accurately, and supplier deliveries are put away swiftly.

Key Accountabilities as Warehouse Team Leader:

* Lead a small team of colleagues (5) covering a variety of warehouse tasks

* Manage team performance and output

* Ensure all vehicles are correctly loaded and paperwork is completed accurately

* Organise replenishment of pick faces from supplier deliveries or overstock

* Ensure attention to detail when checking off goods and supplier paperwork

* Oversee the safe operation of various forklifts and pallet trucks

* Check accuracy on a small number of customer orders

* Promote safe working practices and take responsibility for all Health & Safety on shift

* Responsible for site security and keyholding overnight

The Ideal Person for the Warehouse Team Leader:

* Must have team leadership experience in a warehouse environment

* Qualifications for Flexi / Pivot FLT or Counterbalance FLT desirable

* Experience with PPT operations preferred

* Good organisational skills and attention to detail

* Health & Safety conscious and proactive approach to tasks

* Good communication and teamwork skills

* Reliable with a strong work ethic, to get the best from your team
