Newmarket (Hybrid – 2+ days in the office, more during probation)
£30,000 – £40,000 DOE
About the client
I’m working with a highly respected, independent Chartered brokerage in the Cambridge area, that has built a reputation for excellence in commercial insurance. Following a couple of well-deserved internal promotions, they’re now looking to add a talented Commercial Account Handler to their close-knit team.
This is a role where you’ll be joining a collaborative environment, working alongside experienced Client Executives and the leadership team, and handling a wide range of commercial lines accounts (not SME).

The Role
Work across all classes of commercial insurance with particular exposure to media products as well as broader commercial risks.
Manage the full cycle of account handling – from new business and renewals to mid-term adjustments.
Negotiate with insurers to ensure clients receive the most appropriate and cost-effective cover.
Support Client Executives with preparation for client meetings.
Keep Acturis files (and other systems) up to date, diarised, and accurate.
Play an active role in a team-first culture where everyone supports one another.The Person
Ideally a minimum of 4 years’ commercial lines experience – you’ll need to hit the ground running.
Comfortable handling mid-market risks with larger premium sizes.
Ideally Cert CII qualified (or working towards).
Acturis experience would be an advantage.
A strong communicator, confident in building relationships with clients and insurers.

Salary between £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience).
