We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support a sheet piling and temporary works package on a major civil engineering project in Kensington. This is a site-based role, reporting to the Project Manager, and will suit someone with strong experience in piling, temporary works, and ground engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities

Setting out for sheet piling and associated works (temporary and permanent).
*
Maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.
*
Working closely with the Site Manager, Piling Supervisor, and design team to ensure accurate delivery of works.
*
Managing QA documentation, ITPs, and daily reporting.
*
Monitoring tolerances, pile positioning, and alignment.
*
Liaising with subcontractors and ensuring work is carried out safely and to specification.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in piling or deep excavation environments.
*
Strong knowledge of sheet piling techniques and temporary works.
*
Proficient with Leica or Trimble instruments and AutoCAD.
*
CSCS card required; SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid preferred.
*
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with site teams.
Contract Details
*
Outside IR35 engagement (CIS or Ltd company).
*
3-month initial duration with possible extension.
*
Start: Immediate.
*
Competitive day rate: £270 – £350, depending on experience.
