A £100m turnover division of a privately owned international supplier of specialist equipment is seeking a  Head of Finance to lead all financial operations, reporting directly to the senior leadership team. This is a full-time role ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong technical and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed board commentary
Reconcile all balance sheet control accounts and oversee monthly payroll submissions
Review and approve purchase ledger payments and ensure strong financial controls
Produce and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full HMRC compliance
Lead year-end statutory accounts preparation and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and bankers
Support the tender process with accurate financial information and insight
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports for senior management
Oversee all insurance-related matters, including annual renewals and claims monitoring
Work closely with the wider group finance team to ensure alignment and reporting consistency

What We’re Looking For:

A fully qualified accountant, ideally trained within practice
Strong understanding of statutory accounting, payroll, and VAT compliance
Excellent analytical and reporting skills with the ability to influence at board level
Proven track record of working with auditors, external advisors, and cross-functional teams
Highly organised with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
