Transport Planner - Bristol - Up to £38,000 per annum

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a leading Logistics company at their site in Bristol.

This role is critical in ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of nationwide general haulage operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for routing and scheduling a fleet of vehicles across the UK, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, and optimise nationwide haulage operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Monitor transport plans in real-time and respond swiftly to changing circumstances such as traffic, delays, or last-minute bookings.

Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure clear communication and high service levels.

Utilise transport planning software and telematics systems for route optimisation and performance analysis.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a Transport Planner role, ideally within general haulage.

Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK road network.

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in transport management systems (TMS), Microsoft Excel, and route planning software.

Strong understanding of transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and health and safety.

Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
