This role offers a rare opportunity to step into a senior, business-critical position with genuine ownership over how probate services are delivered and scaled. The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading and developing the firm's probate and estate administration offering, acting as the senior technical lead while helping shape processes, team structure, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Take senior ownership of the probate and estate administration service within the business.
Handle and oversee complex probate and estate administration matters.
Advise clients clearly and confidently throughout the probate process.
Help build, shape, and refine probate workflows, processes, and service standards.
Provide technical guidance and day-to-day leadership to probate team members as the function grows.
Work closely with tax advisers, financial planners, and external professionals as required.
Ensure all work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the ongoing development and scaling of the probate offering as part of the wider business growth strategy.

Requirements

Minimum of five years' experience as a Senior Legal Executive in probate or private client work.
Strong hands-on experience in probate and estate administration.
Appropriate legal qualification to undertake reserved probate activities.
Confidence managing complex estates and advising clients directly.
Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising others is desirable, but not essential.
Strong understanding of UK probate law, estate administration, and related tax considerations.
