Site Manager - District Heating Networks

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of district heating projects across the southern UK. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in utilities, infrastructure, or construction, who thrives in a fast-paced, sustainability-focused environment.

?️ Key Responsibilities

Site Operations & Delivery

Manage day-to-day site activities across multiple district heating projects
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and safe delivery
Monitor site progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications and industry standards
Ensure all works are delivered in line with CDM regulations and company SHEQ policies
Support commissioning and handover processes, including O&M documentationHealth, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)

Act as a visible leader in promoting a safety-first culture on site
Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits
Ensure all incidents, near misses, and safety actions are reported and closed out
Maintain compliance with all statutory and company H&S requirementsCommunication & Coordination

Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and expectations
Attend and lead site meetings, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation
Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and senior leadership✅ What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

5+ years' experience in site management within district heating, utilities, or construction
Strong understanding of CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and quality standards
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Competent in reading technical drawings and managing site documentationDesirable

Experience with JCT/NEC contracts
Knowledge of sustainable energy systems and low-carbon technologies
