Lab Technician (Chemistry) – RSSL Reading - £14.74 PH – 6 months temp to perm.
Working within a Food Research & Development lab under the guidance of senior team members, work independently and collaboratively to support the operation and goals of the laboratory.
Duties are to efficiently administer samples for scientific analysis by creating records, assigning analytical tests, allocating samples for analysis, maintaining chain-of-custody for controlled samples, inputting results and liaising with clients. This role requires you to apply your organizational skills to meet tight deadlines. Provide high-quality customer service by ensuring effective organization of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data, and timely/accurate provision of results. Perform basic routine pharmacopeial analysis using aseptic technique under supervision. Operate basic lab equipment as directed. Conduct experiments, complete assigned projects, or offer functional services under supervision.
Candidates will have a degree in Chemistry, a fresh gradate or technical apprenticeship, competency use generic and specific software packages required for the role including the Lab LIMS system and Q-Pulse, scientific background, either through education or technical apprenticeship, good organisational skills, verbal and written communication in English, accountability honesty and adaptability.
