PE Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Newham
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic PE Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for sport and physical education to support students both in lessons and across wider school life.

About the role
As a PE Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support PE staff in the delivery of high-quality lessons and extra-curricular activities.

Assist with setting up and organising sports equipment and resources.

Work with individual students and small groups to encourage participation and progress.

Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment in PE and across the school.

Support the running of sports clubs, fixtures and whole-school sporting events.

About you
We are looking for someone who has:

A strong interest in PE and sport (a relevant qualification is desirable).

Experience of working with young people in a school or coaching environment.

Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

A commitment to supporting the development and wellbeing of young people.
