£12.60 per hour

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for dedicated and proactive Housekeeping Assistants to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for our patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.

What will you do?

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our care environment—ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas of the hospice. You’ll work closely with other departments, support new team members, and help us deliver a service that reflects our values.

Key responsibilities include:

* Prioritising and completing housekeeping tasks efficiently

* Using our online room booking system to plan around meetings and events

* Supporting new starters as a ‘buddy’

* Managing laundry and linen, including curtain changes

* Ensuring safe disposal of waste and maintaining tidy, welcoming spaces

* Reporting maintenance issues and adhering to health and safety practices

* Promoting our hospice values in everything you do

What will you need?

* A commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

* Ability to work efficiently, sometimes under pressure or with fluctuating workloads

* Willingness to support and train new team members

* Good communication and teamwork skills
