Our client, a dynamic and growing international professional services organisation, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with a strong accounting background and a proactive mindset to contribute to a busy and collaborative finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of monthly management accounts, including journal postings, prepayments, and accruals
Preparation and analysis of monthly budget vs. actual costs
Cashflow forecasting and ongoing monitoring
Completion of inter-company reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency
Producing monthly cost reports for Directors and budget holders
Maintaining robust balance sheet controls through timely reconciliations
Supporting UK and Ireland payroll processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Issuing nominal bills and reconciling inter-office and interview in accounts
Supporting statutory compliance, including VAT returns and financial statements
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Maintaining up-to-date budget holder records to facilitate automated spend reviews and approvals
Managing and resolving budget holder queries in a timely manner
Reviewing UK and international supplier and expense payment runs
Assisting in payroll reviews and payment processing for UK and international teams
Supporting audit processes by providing accurate and detailed responses
Providing support on finance projects as needed
Offering cover for other team members where necessary
Performing various international accounting, reporting, analysis, and reconciliation tasks as requiredSkills and Experience:

Strong background in accounting with experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels
Proactive team player with a flexible and adaptable approach
Strong Excel skills, including use of advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
