Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Oxford (5 days on-site)
Salary: Competitive

My client is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our finance function. This is a pivotal role for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving financial excellence and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead the finance team (1 Management Accountant and 1 Accounts Assistant)
Oversee cashflow management and investment tracking
Prepare and review management accounts and month-end reporting
Ensure timely and accurate VAT returns, payroll processing, billing, and aged debt management
Submit National Statistics reports and support internal audit recommendations
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems
Guide, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and capability

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a similar finance leadership role
Strong understanding of management accounting, cashflow, and financial controls
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work hands-on with financial data
Experience with VAT, payroll, billing, and aged debt processes
Confident communicator with a collaborative approach to team leadership
Comfortable working full-time on-site in central Oxford
